Problem

Small businesses and startups needed custom digital tools — admin panels, SaaS dashboards, customer-facing apps — but lacked the budget for enterprise solutions or the capacity to hire full development teams. Requirements were often vague, timelines were tight, and budgets were limited. Without custom tooling, these businesses relied on spreadsheets, manual processes, or poorly fitting off-the-shelf software.

Tech & Decisions

React and React Native were chosen to maximise code reuse between web and mobile while delivering native-quality experiences. Node.js with Express provided a fast, lightweight backend ideal for the rapid iteration these projects demanded. MySQL ensured relational data integrity for transactional workflows like billing, user management, and reporting. Stripe API was integrated for payment processing in subscription-based products. Expo simplified React Native development with over-the-air updates and streamlined deployment.
